Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the minimum session length?
when is studio time available for booking?
Whenever the store is closed the studio is open for booking. the store hours are 12pm-6:30pm, Wednesday - Saturday.
What is your late arrival/cancellation/rescheduling policy?
The session begins when scheduled, whether or not you are present. As we are a very busy studio, we may not be able to make up time due to tardiness. You are financially responsible for your entire scheduled session. You must call to cancel/modify/reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled session start time or you will be charged a $100 fee. If you make a deposit/pay in full and no show or cancel within 48 hours of start time, you forfeit your deposit. Please note: All deposits must be used by end of the calendar year.
Do you have different prices for recording, mixing or mastering?
No. Everything is based on our regular hourly rates so you can record, mix, master, make radio edits, or creating performance tracks during the time you booked.
When do I need to pay a deposit?
All Day Rate sessions require a 50% deposit at least 7 days prior to your scheduled session. If you are booking a session with less than 48 hours notice, or are a first time client, a deposit will be required at the time of booking to reserve the time. All same day sessions require payment in full at the time of booking.
If I do not use all of my booked time, can I apply it to a future session?
No, studio time is non-transferable and can’t be rolled over to different date or time. No Refunds.
What do I need to bring to my session?
Your music and lyrics, and instruments if applicable (you can always use our in-house instruments free of charge), and any audio files or sessions in an acceptable format on a USB flash drive OR hard drive. We are a Macintosh studio, so make sure your hard drive is Mac compatible. It also makes sense to have your material downloaded prior to your session, as you don’t want to use your paid studio time to download files. If you plan to bring analog hardware please make sure you have all appropriate power cables, zip disks, the manuals, etc. and any proprietary accessories. We are very knowledgeable with analog hardware, but to make sure your session goes off without a hitch, please contact your engineer prior to your session to let us know the particular equipment you are bringing, so we can be prepared.
We booked a recording session and would like to have someone film during our session, is that okay?
